When we arrived at our hotel in LA I was delightfully surprised that we were booked in at the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive, what a thrill.
There are a lot of shops just off Rodeo that we could afford to shop at, still in Beverley Hills so it was quite exciting.
We hired a car and went shopping at the Camarillo Outlets just an hours drive from the centre of LA.
Yes I did buy 2 pairs of shoes and a handbag whilst I was there.
Sorry no Patchwork and Quilting shops there at all. However as we have a new great grandson due in December he will be the best dressed baby for quite a while.
The next day we boarded the hop on - hop off bus and toured LA. We got off at several places but the last was the best, Santa Monica Beach.
We walked the pier and had a great shrimp lunch there.
Here are my daughter and myself on the pier where Route 66 officially ends.
It was a fabulous day one to be remembered for a long time.
The last day of our holidays was spent in local shopping and packing, we had breakfast and lunch at our favourite Deli around the corner from our hotel.
Apparently a great haunt for some of the movie stars, the only one we saw was Kim Kardashian so not greatly excited, yes she is having a baby I can confirm that.
Well home to Aussie and back to work, a wonderful holiday with memories to last for ever.
